JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the General Manager the duties and responsibilities of the IT Manager are to manage installation, maintenance, repair and inventory of all computers, computer peripherals and Telecommunications equipment for the Gaming operations. The IT Manager is required to managed and maintain operability of all software associated with all operations.

The IT Manager will design, and be responsible for, the overall Casino Operations computer systems strategy, and guarantee its capability to serve all internal customers throughout the Organization including but not limited to Gaming Operations, F&B, Surveillance, Security, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources. The IT Manager will work with the Tribal IT Director to ensure compatibility with overall Tribal Network Systems and Policies.

The IT Manager will keep senior management apprised of all potential IT risks and upgrades needed to protect against potential failures in the over systems. The IT Manager will provide a 5 year budget including the necessary spending on capital and reoccurring costs to keep the network operational.

IT Manager will arrange for backup and redundant service in the data storage and retrieval of Casino information critical to revenue, Players Club, Hotel, and customer records.

IT Manager will perform regularly scheduled network and software maintenance, upgrades, and trouble shooting. The IT Manager will perform all repairs necessary to keep the networks up and operational 24 hours per day/365 days per year. The IT Manager will provide emergency break-fix repairs as required.

All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the casino’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and in accordance with the mission statement of the casino.

In addition to Casino related duties described above, the IT Manager will be responsible for managing the system support for all needs of the Tribal Operations office, Tribal Council, and set priorities with each organization periodically.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and train IT Staff for maximum service to all customers and Managers.
  • Must consistently demonstrate a high level of communication skills.
  • Must consistently demonstrate a high level of customer service to customers and employees, and represent the casino in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Must maintain a good attendance record and be available 24/7 for periodic system failures or to have other staff manage needs as back up.
  • Must maintain all network servers, CPU’s, and all peripherals associated with the Gaming, Gaming Commission and Hotel networks.
  • Must arrange for cleaning of all computer and telecommunications hardware and peripherals associated with Gaming, Gaming Commission.
  • Must monitor, maintain and ensure integrity of firewalls and anti-viral software associated with Gaming, Gaming Commission.
  • Must report on a daily basis the status of the Gaming Operations, Gaming Commission and Tribal Networks to the Gaming Network Administrator.
  • Must report weekly on the status of overall Casino IT operations to the Tribal IT Director.
  • Must maintain, monitor and make all changes necessary to the Telecommunications Network for the Gaming.
  • The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring that the IT Department and all IT Employees are operating in accordance with established IT Departmental Policies and Procedures that have been approved by the Red Cliff Tribal Council, and the Red Cliff Gaming Commission.
  • The IT Manager is independent of all Gaming Areas (e.g., Cage/Vault, Pit, Count Rooms, etc.) and the operation of all Gaming Machines.
  • The IT Manager secures Data Files for the Slot, Table/Poker Games, and Marketing Departments.
  • The IT Manager must secure and maintain the Accounting Departments systems and data.
  • The IT Manager must insure that all duties are adequately segregated and monitored, between all IT Department employees, to detect procedural errors and to prevent the concealment of fraud.
  • The IT Manager will not have signatory authority over any Financial Instruments and Payout Forms; and
  • The IT Manager is independent of and must have preauthorized access to each of the following areas: Financial Instruments, Accounting, Audit, Ledger Entries, Payout Forms, Computers and terminals located in Gaming Areas, Source Documents, and Live Data Files (not test Data) before accessing them.
  • May be asked to perform various collateral duties as assigned by the General Manager, Director of Human Resources and Administration.

The resort features a 47 room hotel with a 42 slip marina, a full service restaurant and lounge overlooking the majestic shores of Lake Superior, the gaming floor consists of 252 Slot machines, 4 Black jack tables and a Poker table. Adjacent to our gaming floor is the Legendary Waters conference center that will hold up to 300 patrons offering a full service staff.   • Maintain cleanliness of Casino, Restaurant, and bathrooms.
  • Vacuuming and carpet cleaning.
  • Window washing.
  • Emptying trash on casino floor.
  • Cleaning gaming machines.
  • Emptying and cleaning ashtrays.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
